Ministries

Functional governance pillars responsible for coordination, oversight, and institutional continuity across emerging domains.

Ministries of the Interagency Accord Commission

The ministries of the Interagency Accord Commission (IAC) serve as the primary functional pillars through which the Commission executes its governance, coordination, and oversight mandate. Each ministry is structured to address a distinct domain of responsibility while operating within a unified institutional framework that emphasizes accountability, coordination, and long-term continuity.

Rather than mirroring traditional governmental departments, IAC ministries are designed as modular governance bodies capable of scaling alongside technological advancement, expanded operational domains, and future off-world environments. This structure allows the Commission to adapt responsibly to emerging challenges without compromising institutional coherence or lawful order.

Each ministry is responsible for developing policy frameworks, coordination mechanisms, and standards relevant to its domain, while working in close alignment with other ministries to address cross-cutting issues. This collaborative model ensures that governance decisions remain integrated, forward-looking, and responsive to complex, multi-domain realities.

The ministries collectively support the Commission’s core objectives: maintaining stability across emerging domains, managing seam conflicts between civil, military, commercial, and scientific activities, and ensuring that humanity’s expansion—terrestrial and beyond—remains orderly, accountable, and sustainable. Oversight mechanisms embedded within each ministry reinforce transparency, proportionality, and institutional legitimacy.

As the Commission evolves, additional ministries or sub-ministries may be established to address new domains or specialized governance requirements. This incremental approach ensures that the IAC remains adaptable while preserving a disciplined and coherent governance structure.

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defense operate in close coordination to ensure that governance, security, and resource stewardship remain aligned across all IAC activities. Financial policy, budgeting frameworks, and economic oversight established by the Ministry of Finance directly support the operational readiness, sustainability, and long-term planning functions of the Ministry of Defense. In turn, defense requirements, risk assessments, and strategic priorities inform fiscal planning and resource allocation to ensure disciplined, accountable use of institutional assets. This integrated relationship reinforces stability, prevents capability gaps, and ensures that security objectives are supported by sound economic governance within a unified institutional framework.
